If you've ever done keyword research seriously, you know the drill: you pick a seed keyword, the tool returns a list of loosely related variations, and you spend the next hour juggling spreadsheets trying to find something actually useful. Most tools on the market are built around this workflow, and for a long time, it was simply the way things were done.

KeywordsDB is an attempt to rethink that. It's a keyword research tool built around direct, unrestricted access to a database of 290 million+ keywords sourced from Google — with search volume, CPC, and competition data for each one. The idea is straightforward: instead of asking you to describe what you're looking for upfront, it lets you explore the data however you want, filter however you want, and find opportunities you didn't know you were looking for.

What you can actually do with it

At its core, KeywordsDB does everything you'd expect from a keyword research tool. You can search for specific terms, sort by volume or CPC, filter by competition level, and get a clear picture of what the search landscape looks like for any topic. But the part that changes how research actually feels is that none of those filters are mandatory. You don't need to start with a keyword — you can open the tool and immediately browse by high CPC, low competition, or any combination of metrics that fits what you're building toward.

That said, the classic workflow works just as well. If you have a seed keyword in mind, type it in and get a full list of related terms with all their metrics right alongside it. You can sort by volume to find the biggest opportunities, filter by competition to find where there's room to rank, and narrow things down to exactly the subset of terms that's relevant to your content strategy. The flexibility isn't a gimmick — it just means you're not locked into a single approach.

Try it yourself

The table below is a live sample of the same dataset and interface you'll get access to after signing up:

The data behind it

The dataset is derived from Google Ads keyword data, which means it reflects real search behavior rather than estimates built on top of estimates. On top of the raw data, we use statistical methods to smooth volume figures and fill in gaps, producing estimates that are more consistent and reliable than what you'd get from the Keyword Planner directly.

The database currently covers 290 million+ keywords across search volume, CPC, and competition index, and is updated on a regular basis to stay current.

Pricing that doesn't punish curiosity

Most keyword tools charge by the query, which creates a subtle but real friction: every search costs something, so you start being conservative with how you explore. You validate ideas you're already confident about and skip the exploratory searches that might have led somewhere interesting.

KeywordsDB is a flat $9/month for unlimited searches. There are no credit packs, no usage caps, and no surprises at the end of the billing cycle. For researchers, writers, and small business owners who rely on keyword data regularly, the math tends to work out pretty quickly — and the freedom to search without counting is worth something on its own.

Who it's built for

KeywordsDB is useful for anyone who needs reliable keyword data without a complex platform attached to it. That includes bloggers and content creators looking for opportunities in their niche, freelance SEOs who need a dependable data source for client work, small business owners managing their own search presence, and developers or analysts who want direct access to keyword metrics for their own tooling.
